Bucs Clinch The South!

The Bucs Are NFC SOUTH Champs!

In todays article we’ll be taking a look at
- Tom Brady and Mike Evans special connection getting hot at just the right time
- The Bucs defence
- The Bucs key absentees
- Who they’ll play in the playoffs

Brady to Evans : The revival

Yesterdays game was almost unimaginable for some fans in a lot of ways based off this season so far  , maybe the 30 points put up , maybe the 400+ yards by Tom Brady but the one we were shocked to see , Brady and Evans’ linkup getting back to its best , the 2 stars yesterday combined for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns (2 longer than 50 yards). This is a phenomenal performance normally from the 2 but this season especially with how “off” they’ve looked. This linkup is a huge part of Tampa bays football and many believe that they got it back at just the right time and now , they might be able to cause some noise in the post season , speaking of which lets dive into that.

Bucs possible opponents

Here we’re gonna look at who Tampa bay will likely face on wildcard weekend and why. There’s 2 main contenders to finish in the 5 seed let’s break them down , The Dallas Cowboys : these guys are a phenomenal football team , there’s no doubting that , and as it stands they will be the team heading to Tampa on wildcard weekend but there is a genuine possibility that they could steal the one seed for themselves , they play the recently eliminated Washington commanders in week 18 on the road and they sit at 12-4 in their division , one game behind Philly so if they win in week 18 they will need a Philadelphia loss but it isn’t off the cards just yet , reason being the Eagles play a fired up Giants team but they’ll likely rest their key players as they wouldn’t have anything to play for anyway.
If I’m Tampa bay I’m hoping for Philadelphia as last season we saw what Tom Brady done to the young quarterback under centre but there’s also the argument that  Tampa beat Dallas , very comfortably in week 1 and in all honesty , with whoever you face , you’ll have a very very tough time finding a win.

Bucs Defence

I won’t pen too much about this unit however I do have to give credit where due , Tampa Bays Defence showed up yesterday and got the ball back with turnovers and frequent 3 and outs at key times , most notable player to me yesterday was Sean Murphy Bunting who has been under scrutiny recently in Tampa but he was phenomenal yesterday and had a turnover to boot. Key note is he becomes a free agent in March along with cornerback Jamel dean so bucs will have a decision there.
The defence also showed up in one key department , the run game , last week the panthers amassed around 300 rushing yards with foreman and Hubbard both being past the century mark but this week they managed less than 75 yards on the ground.

Key absentees that can return for the playoffs.

CB Carlton Davis was absent this week but is likely to return for the playoffs and that would be a huge boost to the bucs secondary with SMB’s current stretch of good form , also OLB Carl Nassib is likely to be back fof the playoffs too. The big guy up front C Ryan Jensen has “worked his butt off” and is “itching to be out there” according to quarterback Tom brady , we all know how big this would be if Tampa do manage to stay healthy and get all their players healthy for round 1 and it would lead to the question , can you really count out Tampa bay?
