Story - Bears look to package up fields
Yes , you read that right. Rumour out of the bears camp states that they are “looking to package up Justin fields and select Bryce young”. To me it’s not a terrible decision on the bears part as fields had an up and down year , however , it would be a very good idea for a team like Tampa to take the shot.
Why you ask
It’s simple , for the last few years we’ve seen great success from Brady in the passing game but one thing was noticeable this year , the o-line was drastically worse than years gone by, what this has to do with fields you might ask? Well I’ll tell you . Tom Brady got sacked a lot this year , and that comes down to the weakened oline and his mobility, with fields you have the leading rusher in qbs from last year and a guy with pretty good arm strength (albeit less accurate). In my opinion it would be a good investment to sacrifice 5-10% of the pass game to open up a whole new level of opportunities for the bucs.
Plus fields is still on his rookie deal which only helps Tampa bay with the cap hell they seem to be in.
How likely is it ?
In all honesty I don’t think it’s off the table but I do think there’s teams that might value him higher than the bucs.
If it were to happen I can see a few picks going in the deal and possibly a player , my ideal scenario is Leonard fournette , a 2nd a 3rd and a 4th . I agree that is a huge package for him but , I do believe it’s worth it for the bucs.
