Rumour fact opinion

 Fact -

The bucs have an OC !
Former Seahawks Quarterbacks coach Dave canales has departed Seattle after more than a decade of service to the hawks and becomes Tampa bays offensive coordinator.
Canales , age 41 , was hailed last season for being a great coach after he helped turn geno smith into the leagues comeback player of the year and helped geno lead Seattle to a playoff berth.
My opinion on canales is a positive one. He’s a young coach and he’s made young appointments around him already and he seems happy to be in Tampa

Rumour -

Leading on from canales’ appointment theres a rumour (or 2) following him. The first being geno smith , media outlets and fans have speculated geno might follow Dave down to the coast however it seems very doubtful after geno tweeted “we working” after an article linking him to Tampa was released. Personally I’m going to shut down the rumour as I think Pete Carroll is happy with smith and wants to see one more year of him.
The second rumour is another Seattle quarterback , drew lock , people around the bucs camp think canales is “very sold” on his former backup and thinks he could be of use in Tampa as a starter. Some are speculating that he may be traded to Tampa for a later pick but personally I don’t see the value , I’d much rather give Kyle trask a shot and draft some players to help him out.

Opinion-

Short opinion piece this week , I think the bucs should select a cornerback in the first round , here’s why-
Jamel dean and SMB are both free agents , and will want a fair amount of money that the bucs don’t have right , well that leaves you with 2 capable corners , carlton Davis and Zyon McCollum (who I don’t even think is good) .
So with one above average corner you have to try and pick a young guy up this year instead of relying on short term contracts . The two id like Tampa to pick up are Kelee Ringo or Clark phillips III . I’m not sure if  both will be available at 19 but in the case they are id select Ringo.
