Let’s take a look at the bucs drafted rookies and see how they done.
Logan Hall - C-
Hall was the first of Jason licht’s picks this past draft and came in at pick 33 being the first player selected in the 2nd round and I had high hopes for him , with suh gone and gholston getting older , the d-line was looking torn up. I thought hall would be the young blood that tampa needed however he did not receive nearly enough snaps to make a positive or negative impact , in halls rookie year he amassed 12 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks. He finished with a PFF of 35.3
Luke Goedeke - D-
Luke was deemed a strong and capable G coming into the draft but sadly neither thing transpired into the regular season for him as the 2nd round pick was absolute abysmal in his first few games, he was replaced by nick Leverett midway through the season . Goedeke allowed 2 sacks in his 523 snaps but had 5 penalties going against him too. Also he finished with a very low PFF rating of 43.7
Rachaad white - B
I think it was a phenomenal pick by the front office and I believe it’s very future proof. White showed this year he is more than capable of playing in the league and I believe his ceiling is the highest of all the bucs rookies. Rachaad amassed a decent 478 yards on 129 carries in his rookie year with 1 rushing TD and 2 receiving TDs to boot. Final note on white , he showed he should be a RB1 and he can close out games on the ground (that stiff arm in Munich!)
Cade Otton - B
Cade came in the 4th round for Tampa and he was able to quickly become a fan favourite for the bucs. Otton had 391 yards and 2 very clutch touchdowns for Tampa this year , one in the LAR comeback. I think Otton will have a good career in front of him if he can receive more targets in future seasons.
Jake camarda - B-
I know what we all thought . “A F**ING PUNTER” , I said it too. Camarda came in the 4th round as well and I think for the value of pick , it really was a great choice by Jason Licht. Camarda has one of the best legs I’ve seen on a punter and in his rookie year he managed a 79 yard punt having him tied 4th in the all time list. Jake also showed athleticism when he kept the bucs season alive against Carolina in the NYD battle . Final note , his 48.85 yard average had him 5th in the league this year.
Zyon mcollum - D
Haven’t got much on the kid if I’m honest and whenever we did see him he looked subpar at best. Mcollum a 5th round CB saw barely any of the field this year. When he did see it he managed 14 tackles , but he gave up 17 completions on 22 targets , yikes.
KO kieft - C+
Kieft was known to be a powerhouse coming out of the draft but he looked like much more than that this season. Kieft looked a capable tight end of blocking in both the passing and rushing game but also , he seemed comfortable taking targets in the middle of the field. Kieft gathered a nice 80 yards and 1 touchdown on 7 catches this season. He also played a lot of snaps on special teams and looked very good
Andre Anthony - F
He never got on the field.
